Front Garden For Arts and Craft House
The clients had invested in their property, in Sunridge Park Bromley over the years however, the front garden was letting it down.
We were asked to create some much needed kerb-appeal, which complimented the Arts and Crafts style of the property. The brief also required an extra wide drive so the owner can get their motorbike past the car when parked. As well as low maintenance planting in the semi-shaded garden.
The major element was the herringbone clay paver pathways which tied into the Arts and Crafts detailing of the porch. The lynch gate was in poor condition with rotted oak posts so a full refurbishment was required and at the same time we moved the gate in line with the front door which although part of the quirk of Arts and Crafts got on the clients nerves. We also added a landing pad for loading and unloading the car.
We added to the existing planting; with low maintenance shrubs, perennials, grasses, as well as multi-stemmed Amelanchier and Acer, all set into gravel as a mulch, with an oak sleeper detailing, which again reflected the houses detailing.
A stunning, low maintenance front garden with kerb appeal. The owners say that whilst they are out watering passersby often pay compliments to the garden, so that’s a win!
