Right, I’ll put it out there straight away; it’s crazy late to be writing a blog about The Chelsea Flower Show! It’s been over 3 weeks since I attended. However, between cultivating client projects and firefighting domestic dramas and wedding attendances, so so many weddings…. I’ve not had a whole lot of time to get my blog done.
This is a departure from my normal blog, as the name suggests, this garden is more about sculpture than planting hence the blog is too
When I scribbled the first draft of this blog, Beth Chatto was still alive, in fact we saw her pootling around on her mobility scooter the morning of our visit, the 12th of May. Sadly, she died the following day, as I reflect on the tour; it makes our time there even more poignant. I can understand why she was in the gardens to the very end; frankly if I’d had a tent with me I would have slept there it was so wonderful!
